Door Stopper

In these works I was working with this idea of the subconscious engagement with the environment . What had happened was that there was no door stopper to keep the door open and I spontaneously decided to use the scrap pieces of wood I had lying around in studio to prop the door open . Without realizing I became apart of my idea of the subconscious engagement ...  dealing With the physicality of  the work I became aware not only of the environment but the fragility , tension and danger that the work presents to the viewer . Thus if the viewer kicks over the planks and brakes the tension of holding the door open that the door would close , the element of danger is that someone could get hurt or injured and the fragility of the pieces of would were so great that a simple touch could destroy the work ...But after that i thought about it a bit and I came to the notion that maybe this is what I want to show . I   then realized that the viewer isn't just a viewer but actually become a part of the work and becomes an interlocutor ,meaning that they aren't a bystander but are involved .
